The Moab Valley Multicultural Center (MVMC) is a nonprofit organization seeking an Executive Director to manage and direct its next phase of growth, development and service. MVMC’s mission is to promote intercultural understanding and appreciation, and to address the needs of immigrants, indigenous and other minorities through services, education, family support, cultural programming and community collaboration. MVMC has served over 500 youth, families and adults in 2009.
The ideal candidate will be a “people person”, with strengths in leading a strong, dedicated team of staff and volunteers. He or she will demonstrate prior nonprofit leadership experience in an organization devoted to providing programs and services for underserved populations. The ED will devise strategies to fulfill MVMC’s mission to improve the well-being of low-income and at-risk individuals and families in this rural region of southeastern Utah. Candidate must be bilingual English-Spanish and have the ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. This role also requires excellent speaking, writing and computer skills. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 3 years administrative experience (preferably in diverse, community-based, non-profit management).
¾ time Position; Salary negotiable, commensurate with experience.
